Title: A Day at the Animal Shelter
Last Saturday, Lisa volunteered at a local animal shelter. She loves animals, especially dogs and cats. The shelter takes care of domestic animals that need new homes. Some are endangered animals, and some are just lost pets.
Lisa started the day by feeding the creatures. “Every organism needs food to live,” she reminded herself. Then, she played with the dogs. One large beast, named Max, was very friendly. Max had been found in the forest and was once a wild animal, but now he is safe.
