Title: Meeting the Need at the Office
Emma worked at a small IT company. One day, her boss told the team, “We need to finish the project by Friday.” Emma knew it was urgent. The project required a lot of time and teamwork. Everyone stayed late at the office.
Emma needed help with the design, so she asked her colleague, Ryan. “I need your help with this part,” she said. Ryan replied, “Of course. I also need some support for the coding section.”
They both worked hard to meet the needs of their boss. There was a clear need for better communication, so Emma organized a short meeting. “Let’s talk about our progress and needs,” she suggested.
By Thursday evening, the team finished the project. Their boss said, “You all did well. You understood the difference between needs and wants and focused on what was necessary.”
Emma felt proud. She realized that even though she wanted more free time, the team’s success was more important. Meeting urgent needs sometimes meant giving up personal wants.
