Title: Helping Hands at Work
Emily works at a small bookstore. One busy afternoon, a woman came in holding a crying child and a large bag. She looked around, unsure where to go. Emily noticed and offered help immediately. “Can I assist you with something?” she asked kindly.
The woman said she was looking for children’s books but couldn’t carry her bag and calm her child at the same time. Emily smiled and guided her to the kids’ section. She even held the child for a minute, which gave the woman time to choose a few books.
Afterward, the woman said, “Thank you so much for your help and support.” Emily replied, “It’s my job to help people, and I’m happy to do it.” Later that day, Emily told her coworker, “It feels good to give help to someone who needs it.”
They agreed that offering help is one of the most important parts of their work. Helping people is not only about books; it’s about making others feel comfortable and cared for.
