Title: Asking for a Favor at Work
Tom works at a small advertising company. One day, he needed help finishing a big project. He decided to ask his colleague, Sarah, for assistance. “Sarah, can I ask a favor?” he said. “Sure,” she replied, “what do you need?”
Tom explained that he was running out of time and needed someone to help with the final report. Sarah listened carefully and then said, “I’ll help, but it’s a big ask. I have a lot to do too.”
Even though it was a big ask, Sarah agreed. She requested that Tom handle the data part while she worked on the design. Together, they finished the report on time.
Their manager later inquired about who had done the great design work. Sarah smiled and said, “We both did. We just helped each other.”
Thanks to teamwork and the courage to ask for help, the project was a success.
