Mika is a secretary at a small company in Tokyo. Every morning, she writes emails to clients and notes down the meeting schedule. Her boss asked her to write a report about customer feedback. Mika sat at her desk, composed a draft, and carefully wrote each point using clear English.
Later, she met her colleague Ken. He had ignored the task and didn’t write his report. “You should at least write down some ideas,” Mika said kindly. Ken smiled and replied, “You’re right. I’ll write it tonight.”
Mika also wanted to write a book one day. She kept a notebook where she scribbled daily thoughts. Even if her ideas weren’t perfect, she enjoyed the habit of writing and reading what she had written.
That evening, Mika opened her notebook, took a pen and paper, and began to write again.
