Title: Wisdom in a Proverb

Tom started a new job at a small office. On his first day, his manager, Mr. Green, said, “There’s an old English proverb that I always follow: ‘Actions speak louder than words.’”

Tom nodded but didn’t think much of it. Over the next week, he talked a lot during meetings but didn’t finish his tasks on time. One day, Mr. Green gave him a task with a tight deadline. Tom said, “I’ll do it perfectly!” but didn’t start it until the last minute.
