英語ストーリー（english story）

Title: The Scent of a Clue

Emma worked at a flower shop downtown. Every morning, the sweet scent of fresh roses and lilies filled the air. She loved the aroma that greeted her when she opened the door.

One day, her manager told her that someone had been sneaking into the shop at night. Nothing was stolen, but something felt off. Emma noticed a faint scent in the air that wasn’t from any flower she knew. It was a strange perfume, almost too strong. “I’ve never smelled this fragrance before,” she thought.

She told her friend Jake, who trained police dogs. “Maybe the dog can detect a scent,” she suggested. Jake brought his dog Max the next evening. As soon as Max entered the shop, he started sniffing around. Then he barked loudly near the back door.
