A Juicy Mistake

Tom works at a small café in a busy town. One morning, a customer asked for “an orange juice with no ice.” Tom quickly grabbed a fresh orange and began to peel it. He squeezed the juice by hand and served it with a smile.

But the customer frowned. “This tastes strange,” she said.

Tom was surprised. He tasted it himself and realized he had used a bitter orange by mistake. “I’m so sorry,” he said. “Let me make a new one with sweet oranges.”

He quickly fixed the drink and also offered her a slice of orange cake, made with orange peel. She smiled and said, “Now that’s perfect.”
