Title: The Day Without Rain

Emma worked at a clothing store in a small town. One hot and dry summer day, she opened the shop early. The weather had been dry for several weeks, and many customers came in looking for summer clothes.

A man entered the store with a tired look. His shirt was wet with sweat, and he said, “Do you have anything dry I can change into?” Emma showed him a few dry shirts and suggested he use the restroom to change.

While he changed, Emma talked with her coworker, Jack. “This dry season is really long,” she said. “My skin feels dry, and my lips are always parched.”
