Emma had been working at the same company for five years. One day, she received an unexpected email. It said that her department would be closed. “So this is the end,” she thought. At first, she felt sad and confused. But then she remembered something her mentor had once said: “Every end is a new beginning.”
She decided not to be afraid. She finished her work properly and helped her coworkers conclude their final tasks. When the last day came, she looked around the office and smiled. It was the end of one chapter and the start of another.
The very next week, Emma started looking for new jobs. She completed her resume and applied to several companies. She had interviews and learned from each one. Finally, she was offered a job in a company that focused on education technology, something she had always been interested in.
At the end of her first week at the new job, her boss said, “I’m glad you’re here. You brought a fresh energy to the team.” Emma smiled. She realized the end of her old job was not a failure, but a new opportunity.
