Mika had always been a hard worker. Every day, she would arrive at her office early and work hard until late. Her job as a designer was both challenging and fun, but it was also very difficult at times. Her boss often gave her tough projects, and she had to find creative solutions quickly.
One day, her boss told her, “Mika, we want to send you to our branch office in London.” It was a great chance, but it was also a hard decision. She had never been to London, and she would miss her family in Japan. “I’m having a hard time deciding,” she said to her friend Ken.
Ken said, “There are no hard and fast rules. You should think about what you really want.” Mika spent the weekend thinking. Her parents said, “We want you to be safe and sound, but we also want you to be happy.”
After a lot of thinking, Mika decided to go. “This will be a challenging step, but I’m ready,” she said. She worked even harder to prepare and soon flew to London.
There, she faced new problems, but she remembered how she had solved many difficult tasks before. She used her experience, worked hard, and slowly became comfortable in her new job. Mika realized that the hard times helped her grow the most.
