The Last Day of School
It was the last day of school before summer vacation. Emma was excited but also a little sad. She would miss her classmates. The final bell rang, and students rushed out of the building. Emma and her best friend Mia were the last to leave the classroom.
They walked slowly, talking about their plans. “I hope this summer lasts a long time,” Mia said. “Me too,” Emma replied. “But we should enjoy every moment.”
On the way home, they saw a poster: “Last Chance to Join the Summer Science Camp!” Emma looked at Mia. “Should we do it?” she asked. Mia nodded. “Yes! It could be the ultimate summer experience!”
That night, Emma told her parents. “It’s at the last minute,” her mom said, “but if you really want to go, we’ll sign you up.” Emma smiled. “Thanks, Mom. Last but not least, I’m going to make this summer unforgettable.”
